I’ve always loved the sound of words and what they can do: express emotion, change minds, help people understand each other. As a child, I wanted to be a lawyer, drawn to the idea of using words to argue for a better outcome.

Instead, I filled journals with my feelings and ideas, and read widely, because a book lets you see the world through someone else’s eyes. I wrote stories for myself for years. Today, I write for a living, because I believe my voice can help others see the world differently.
